Pizza Night…

There are not a lot of foods my eldest daughter doesn’t like. However, she did not like pizza for the longest time! Well, that has now changed! Last week, on my youngest daughter’s turn to chose what to have for dinner, she wanted pizza! So, I made this awesome Roasted Chicken & Red Pepper Pizza…and…EVERYONE absolutely loved it! It’s fair to say that my eldest officially likes pizza and it will become a regular meal in our house!

With every pizza, you need a delicious, fool-proof, easy and reliable pizza sauce! And, this recipe is just that!

All you have to do in order to make this perfect pizza sauce is, mix all the ingredients together in a bowl! Voila! Yes, it really is that simple!

Double it up and Half…

Like with other sauces, (such as Low Carb Roasted Tomato Marinara Sauce and Creamy Basil & Asiago Pesto Sauce), I like to double the recipe and freeze half of it. This way I always have some on hand for whenever a recipe calls for it.

It lasts in an air-tight container in the freezer for up to 3 months! If you decide to freeze this pizza sauce, just make sure that you thaw it completely, before spreading it on your pizza crust.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz can organic tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4-1/3 cup water
  • 2 tsp basil dried
  • 1 tsp oregano dried
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • In a medium size bowl, mix all the ingredients together, until well combined.

Notes

This easy, low carb pizza sauce can be stored in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
